Adhesions
Post-operative adhesions are an undesirable effect of surgery. Tissue surfaces that are not normally connected to each other become bound together by scar tissue. This physiological process occurs whenever tissues undergo inflammation, whether as a result of injury, surgery or pathologies such as endometriosis. The clinical consequences are well known: pain, intestinal obstruction and even infertility in women (15-20% of infertilities are due to adhesions).
It is also estimated that up to 20% of operated patients require follow-up care due to the consequences of adhesions.
This means new costs for our healthcare system, and longer recovery times. This is a real public health issue.
HaemoCer is therefore a simple, cost-effective solution for preventing adhesions. The powder is applied generously to the tissue to be protected, then moistened with a saline solution. The HaemoCer powder absorbs the liquid and transforms into a protective gel layer. This barrier prevents contact with other tissues during the post-operative healing process. This allows the tissues to remain independent, preventing fusion.

HaemoCer™ Universal Applicator
This applicator is used to treat bleeding in laparoscopic surgery. It enables HaemoCer hemostatic powder to be applied directly during minimally invasive procedures. Da Vinci-compatible, flexible applicator reduces the risk of kinking.

HaemoCer™ FlexApplicator
HaemoCer FlexApplicator is an accessory to our HaemoCer range of plant-based haemostatic powders. This standard applicator is ready for easy installation.
Thanks to its integrated mandrel, FlexApplicator can be positioned in different directions. HaemoCer powders can be applied in blind spots and hard-to-reach areas. HaemoCer FlexApplicator offers great flexibility and ensures controlled, precise dosage.
HaemoCer™ Endoscopy Applicator
This endoscopic applicator enables HaemoCer hemostatic powder to be applied directly through the channel of a standard endoscope. The tube is inserted into the endoscope channel and positioned over the bleed. The compressed air flow generated by the pump transports the powder directly to the bleeding site. This system serves as a complementary hemostatic device to control bleeding. It is particularly suitable for sheet hemorrhages, but also in cases where conventional hemostasis cannot be used. The endoscopic applicator requires no additional equipment (air compressor, gas, etc.). It is simple and uncomplicated to use. It is important to follow the steps described in the instructions for use.

Screw the bulb onto the non-return valve and ensure that it is securely fastened by pulling lightly on it.

Screw on the Heamocer powder bottle

Keeping the pear down, squeeze it all the way down to flush out the liquids.

Once at the application site, turn the bulb upside down and drop the powder into the ejection chamber by stretching the accordion bottle and squeeze the bulb to apply HaemoCer.
